We perform exiting and fun New Orleans style jazz. This original American Music started
in the early 1920s and made New Orleans famous due to great musicians such as Louis Armstrong and Bix Beiderbecke. This
music is great for parties, bar-b-ques or almost any occasion. It's great to dance to!
The Jazz Cookers are
the product of a very talented group of young musicians who met while attending Arapahoe High school in Centennial, Colorado.
The core group of the musicians stayed together and under the management of cornetist Rick Crandell, formed The Jazz Cookers
in June of 2007. As the Dry Creek Dixie Dawgs, the group received standing ovations at the Sacramento Jazz Jubille as well
as 3 consecutive Down Beat Magazine Awards. The Jazz Cookers have performed to packed houses at several local venues including
the Copper Fox Pub in Centennial, Colorado, The Recreation Lounge in Centennial and have appeared at Brix Downtown. The
band has most recently appeared at the Summit Jazz Festival in October and for the second time at the Grand Lake Colorado,
Annual Buffalo Bar-B-Que this past summer, at the Evergreen Jazz Festival and for various private functions.
The
Jazz Cookers are avaiable for Traditional Dixieland Church services. Contact us for more information.
